This is the lightest fan I've ever owned making it great to travel with and move around.It is also very low wattage so it does not drain the battery which is very critical.If you are going to have a fan in your off the grid solar setup then this is the one by far over your more heavy power using house fan..
If you are gonna buy a generator this fan makes sense to buy as well. It plugs into the dc outlets so it doesn't take up the main outlet, and it doesn't drain the battery much AT ALL. It's not the strongest breeze but it's good for small/medium spaces
